My pottery is both functional and decorative. My work is primarily functional in nature, but with a strong sense of color and contrast. I use abstract design elements that create visual interest and texture, rather than incorporating figurative or realistic drawings on my work.
My colors are bold and with a strong contrast, and I keep my work fresh by experimenting with new colors frequently. I believe that color is the greatest strength of my creative work. In particular, my success with brilliant copper reds, after many years of experimentation, has enhanced my pieces a great deal.
I work with forms that are classical in inspiration, with graceful shapes and outlines, always striving to achieve a high level of technical craftsmanship.
